Samantha Akkineni must be on cloud nine. She has had three releases so
far in 2018 across the Tamil and Telugu industries, and all the three
films have been blockbusters.
Rangasthalam, Mahanati and Irumbu Thirai have earned her appreciation for her versatile performances.
Samantha, in a recent interview with a Telugu daily, spoke about her ex-boyfriend. She compared him to Gemini Ganesan's character from Mahanati (Nadigaiyar Thilagam in Tamil).
She
said, "Even I would have fallen into such crisis in my personal life
like Savitri did. But thankfully I realised it in the beginning and
walked out of the relationship as soon as I sensed that it could end up
bad. And then I'm blessed to have a person like Naga Chaitanya in my
life. He's a gem of everything."
In Mahanati, Gemini Ganesan's extra-marital affair with another woman caused the downfall of Savitri in her professional and personal life.
A couple of years ago, Samantha was romantically linked with actor Siddharth. The two dated for two-and-a-half years before parting ways. It was reported that both of them were not of similar views when it came to marriage.
It is said that Siddharth didn't want to marry, while Samantha envisioned a happy marriage with him. Also, it was rumoured that the Aval actor got immensely possessive about Samantha, which was one of the main reasons why she called it quits.
